Nifty, dark crime noir from the early '90s that's been hard to see. Finally on blu ray through Criterion. First screenplay from Billy Bob Thornton (with Tom Epperson) and directed by the great Carl Franklin. Violent and disturbing and suspenseful and goes in directions you wouldn't expect. Great Bill Paxton role, supported by Cynda Williams and Billy Bob Thornton himself, with a chilling turn from Michael Beach. Worth seeking out if you like low budget thrillers. Bought at Videomatica.
